let joyful communication take flight!

Jennybird Speech & Language offers the full spectrum of speech-language evaluation and therapy services.

Communication rights and justice are at the core of our practice. Using a neurodiversity affirming framework, we identify a child’s strengths and fully understand a family’s values to develop an intervention plan that celebrates the unique way each human grows and develops.

About Jennybird

Jennybird holds a large purple magnifying glass up to her eye, creating a playful effect where her eye appears enlarged and almost cartoon-like. She stands in a cozy, well-organized room with shelves filled with colorful books.

Our Team

Jenny Siler (she/her) MS CCC-SLP

Jenny’s commitment to neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based therapy is deeply personal. It has grown from her own experiences as a learner, her work as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in medical and educational settings, and her genuine curiosity about the interests and passions that make each child unique. She believes connection begins when children feel seen, understood, and invited to bring their whole selves into the room.

After earning a liberal arts degree in Photography from Bard College, Jenny received her Master of Science in Communication Disorders and Sciences from the University of Oregon in 2011. She spent the first decade of her career in medical settings before transitioning to public education in 2020. She served several elementary schools in the Parkrose School District before opening Jennybird Speech & Language in the fall of 2024.

Her love of assistive technology led her to explore Universal Design for Learning and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), particularly after seeing the barriers families face when seeking on-time communication supports.

An enthusiastic Dungeons & Dragons player, Jenny is a Certified Therapeutic Game Master through Geek Therapeutics. She loves incorporating storytelling, collaborative play, and children’s interests into her work. Outside the clinic, she enjoys playing D&D, Crafting D&D adventures for her 7-year-old and his friends, and exploring Oregon’s beautiful outdoors.
